I couldn't put down Betsy McGregor's book, Women on the Ballot. It was full of interesting stories, insight, and advice from women who campaigned and served in all levels of politics from all over the political spectrum. The value of these accounts is in demystifying the paths, the process, and pitfalls that women experience in running for and serving in elected office. In putting the book together, Betsy has done a valuable public service. The message of the book is that many women have become politicians, therefore you and I can do it too. A tremendous archive of women's political experience, I recommend it to any person interested in becoming a politician.
